- Board Member Solicitation
Come join the Shannock Water District Board of Directors and become active in your neighborhood while helping the District manage its operation. We respectfully request you join us on the District’s Board of Directors and participate in the oversight and management of the local water system. No prior experience is necessary and no special skills are required. It’s all about neighbors helping neighbors manage the community drinking water system for the benefit of all residents in Shannock and Columbia Heights. As a member of the Shannock Water District, we invite you to participate in the oversight of the District’s management by volunteering to become a board member. There are a minimum of (4) quarterly meetings held annually when we request attendance. Additionally, throughout the year, there are projects to be performed between meetings. How active you choose to be is up to you and your schedule. It’s not a lot of work but as a proverb states “many hands make for light work”. Your involvement will be greatly appreciated by the dedicated individuals who currently serve on the board. These are your neighbors who currently perform the functions and duties of running the water system. Your involvement will help spread the work among more individuals. If you’re curious to learn more or wish to join plan to attend our next meeting on: Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, 6:30 pm Location: 1660 Shannock Road, in the storefront at the basement level (Charlestown side of the village.) We look forward to seeing you there! Sincerely, Jeff Marlowe, Treasurer Shannock Water District
